Sequential Dissolution Extraction: K-Limonene is designed to be used as a effective primary solvent in cost effective sequential rinse, lab set-up operations. Multiple Wash Extraction SOPs can consistently achieving 70% - 90% Mitragynine extractions. In Post Processing:  K-limonene can be used as a selective alkaloid rinse, a rinse for over processed Biomass, or used as a diffuser for under-processed biomass. 


NOTICE: Solvents can be rendered ineffective in certain SOP procedures.

When used in Supercritical CO2, K-Limonene can be used as co-solvent in sub or near critical modes to improve the solubuility of certain Terpines, waxes and select alkaloids. In Post-processing: After CO₂ extraction, K-limonene can be used to refine extracts for further purification or better isolate specific compounds like Mitragynine.

Soxlet Extraction: Improved yield: Studies suggest that utilizing limonene in MIS can result in a higher yield and significantly reduced extraction times compared to conventional Soxhlet extraction using n-hexane. Limonene is considered a more environmentally friendly and less toxic alternative compared to some traditional organic solvents used in Soxhlet extraction. Limonene has been explored in other, more modern extraction techniques, such as Modified Soxhlet Extraction (MIS) as a potential "green" solvent for extracting natural products.
